Supersoldiers
An average feline needs eight run-throughs before it starts believing in immortality. In humans, the process takes longer, but the procedure is identical:
We immerse the subject into Cyber, into a hyperrealistic simulation of their life. They carry on “living” temporarily before facing a situation resulting in death. The subject is unaware of the simulation: when they are “resurrected”, they believe it a miracle.
Humans require 11 run-throughs in Cyber before reinsertion into reality. Thus modified, they will willingly face danger and die, expecting to be resurrected again.
There is, of course, no “thirteenth” life. There is only the one.
Run-through počítám jako jedno slovo, protože jde o ustálené slovní spojení resp. spojené slovo. Doufám, že správně.
